Supply chains become supply mazes
Support for your supply chain management during the coronavirus crisis
Delivery bottlenecks, oversupply, travel restrictions and lockdowns: covid-19 has also massively disrupted international supply chains. Due to Hessen’s central role in the globalised economy, our state is particularly strongly affected by the developments.
“The coronavirus crisis shows particularly clearly how important our international economic ties are and will continue to be when the economy ramps up again. […]”, Minister of Economics Tarek Al-Wazir underlined recently. However, some established supply chains are now more like a labyrinth. Since the beginning of the covid-19 crisis, entrepreneurs have been able to contact the Hessen Ministry of Economics, Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH and the Hessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry with any questions about international supply chains. To make it easy to get in touch and provide some clarity in the supply labyrinth, central contact points are available via the following email addresses:
This initiative is based on an agreement between the federal government and the federal states to create contact points at various levels in order to support the economy, restore disrupted international supply chains and allow them to function smoothly or diversify their perspectives.
While the Ministry of Economics can primarily help with contact with foreign representations and authorities, HTAI can mediate company contacts and approach German departments and agencies. The Hessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry can assist its member companies with any questions that arise regarding difficulties with cross-border deliveries and can draw on the network of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK). Make use of a tried-and-tested network to help you navigate the covid-crisis supply chain maze.
