FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region organizes first-ever networking event for international schools

At the initiative of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region and Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH (HTAI), representatives of the international schools from the entire FrankfurtRhineMain region took part in a first-ever meeting on December 12, 2016. Principals and managing shareholders of the international schools exchanged ideas with representatives of the Hessen Ministry of Culture, FRM GmbH, and HTAI about current developments surrounding the topic of Brexit.

“We are very pleased that our invitation to an in-person meeting was so well received by all international school representatives in the entire region. We view the availability of international schools in the FrankfurtRhineMain region as a key selling point to persuade foreign companies to establish offices and operations here,” explained Eric Menges, President & CEO of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region.

The FrankfurtRhineMain region ranks among the leading European locations

A central issue discussed with the international schools is the availability of sufficient capacity for new schoolchildren in the event of a steep rise in the international business community in the FrankfurtRhineMain region in the wake of Brexit. “Each and every school assured us that there is capacity at present to accept additional schoolchildren,” added Dr. Rainer Waldschmidt, CEO of Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH. “Some schools also see potential for expansion, which could be implemented relatively quickly given adequate support from the government.”

FrankfurtRhineMain is ideally suited to accommodate new international arrivals in the region. Parents wishing to enroll their children in international schools have a greater number of options to choose from than are offered by other regions. The public school system also provides high quality education to both German and foreign schoolchildren and enjoys an outstanding reputation among expatriates. There are currently 30 public schools in the Frankfurt metropolitan area that offer bilingual instruction.

Eric Menges continued, “Frankfurt is viewed as the most international location in Germany and boasts a broad selection and sufficient enrolling capacity as concerns international schooling options. We would like to give a warm welcome to the international business community in our region.”

The FrankfurtRhineMain region ranks among the leading European locations and features excellent access to all modes of transportation. The region offers highly educated English speaking personnel who come from a variety of international backgrounds. And last but not least, the high quality of life and the more than 30 international schools make it easy for companies to establish offices and operations in the region.

FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region is the marketing company responsible for promoting the FrankfurtRhineMain region, which consists of 27 districts, towns, the state of Hessen, municipalities, and associations. The company’s objective is to inform foreign companies about the benefits offered by the region, persuade them to set up offices and operations in the region, strengthen the international competitiveness of FrankfurtRhineMain, and improve the perception of the region in other countries. FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH serves as the primary point of contact for all inquiries regarding the establishment of offices and operations in the region by foreign companies.
