It’s a mobile life that human beings – doctors, patients, and health-conscious individuals – are leading, and so the development and utilization of mobile digital health technology is also on the move (mobile health or mhealth). More and more clinics, medical practices, pharmacies, health insurance providers, patients, and private individuals are using mobile devices and medical apps for prevention, diagnosis, and therapy.
In the near future, multiple developments will lead to a digital transition of healthcare in Europe. This will give rise to new options and possibilities for further digitization geared toward telemedicine and mobility, but will also create the need to reflect on the challenges involved.
