The economy in the Frankfurt-Rhine-Main metropolitan region remains generally on a growth track: 91 percent of companies assess their current business situation as good or satisfactory. Thus, it was possible to add another one percent to an already high level compared to the previous year. The high willingness to spend, low interest rates, low prices of raw materials and a relatively weak euro are factors that will favor economic development in the coming year as well.
Based on the above, the Rhine-Main Chamber of Industry and Commerce Forum expects the gross domestic product of the Frankfurt-Rhine-Main metropolitan region to grow 2.0 percent in 2015 and 2.1 percent in 2016.
