Central Services: Hessen´s Point of Single Contact

The idea to create a point of single contact has its origins in the European Union: Bureaucratic barriers, which have to be overcome by self-employed persons, entrepreneurs, and freelancers during the administrative process, should be eliminated by all member states of the European Union.

Do you want to become self-employed, start your own company, or set up a new branch location?  Do you want to open a handicraft business, a restaurant, or a law firm? Do you want to apply for a restaurant or broker license? Register, change or de-register a business? The European Union has initiated the Points of Single Contact program so that entrepreneurs, freelancers, and the self-employed can, with fewer administrative hurdles, reach their goals more quickly. The goal of this new institution is to eliminate bureaucratic obstacles in all EU member states.

The Hessen Point of Single Contact (EAH) is the central service point for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and the self-employed who wish to establish themselves in Hessen or wish to make modifications to their businesses. The Hessen Point of Single Contact (PSC) generally does not charge a fee for submitting applications. In exceptional cases, such as in the case of very extensive procedures resulting in high administrative expenses, the fee is based on the time the PSC spends on the application. There is no fee for requesting information.
