It is not just the magnetic attraction of Frankfurt as a financial center and traffic hub that makes Hessen so appealing. The services sector is the strongest driving force behind the economy in Hessen. It generates virtually three quarters of the total gross value added - more than in any other federal state in Germany. At 50 percent, the export quota of Hessen's processing industry is also higher than the national average (about 45 percent). Fast and accurate image quality management method and software - A Flemish university developed a novel image quality management method and software based on a special matrix collection. The matrix technology provides an overall procedure to deal with the quality of colours in images. It combines excellent accuracy with low computational effort, enabling real time calculation. The university is looking for technical cooperation with industrial partners in the area of vision technology, both producers and users.
